Herondo Wall - Refreshed

Herondo Wall - Refreshed

Welp! We refreshed the mural on Herondo. The first iteration we used blueprint paper from Kinko's, paper glue, and we didn't seal it. The weather did it's thing and washed away all the color. Albeit, it was a cool effect. It really didn't give the piece the justice it deserves.

We went back to the drawing board and thought about how we might make it better for the next iteration. What we came up with is Tyvek paper, 3M Industrial adhesive and outdoor matte clear coat. This proved to pay huge dividends in the amount of time it took to apply. The first go around it took about 5 hour to complete. This iteration took 2.5 hours, including pealing away the old mural paper.

What we are also planning is to offer the ability to purchase prints directly from the mural using AR. In addition to that we are introducing Tao Te Cheng into the mix by creating an AR experience that overlays a passage from Lao Tzu on top of the mural. Viewers will also be able to purchase the print of their choosing from the passage selected.
